How to Register for USCSA Competition
A step-by-step guide for athletes, team captains, and parents navigating the registration process for collegiate ski and snowboard racing.
Who Needs to Register?
Athletes
If you want to compete, you need to register through the national USCSA system. Your team captain will then register you for Southwest events.
Team Captains
You handle both registrations: Register your institution/team nationally, then register your athletes for Southwest conference events through your captain portal.
Parents
Help your student athlete with national registration. Your athlete's team captain will handle the Southwest conference registration portion.
The Two-Step Registration Process
To compete in Southwest Conference events, registration happens in two separate systems, and they must be completed in this specific order:
National USCSA Registration
Who: Institutions, teams, and individual athletes
Where: SportsEngine platform at USCSA.org
When: Must be completed first
This is your official USCSA membership and eligibility. Athletes won't appear in the Southwest system until this is complete.
Southwest Conference Registration
Who: Team captains only
Where: Captain portal on this website
When: After national registration is complete
Captains select their nationally-registered athletes and register them for specific Southwest conference events.
π Important: If an athlete doesn't appear in the captain portal, they need to complete national registration first.
Step-by-Step Registration Guide
Follow these steps in order. Both registrations are required to compete.
